Jill Diane Fabricant, Ph.D.
Artist and Scientist
I began my career as a scientist in cancer research and then worked at NASA for a number of years before starting my own company in biotechnology. I spent a number of decades as an entrepreneur and then last year decided to follow my passion. My mother was an artist and having just retired last year from science, I decided it was time to take up my passion for art. I have been painting for about four years now and love the creative aspect of painting. My work reflects my vision of the world- the occasional fury, and frenetic nature of it all to the pure joy and happiness of a beautiful sunny day at the ocean. I feel the warmth of the sun, the breeze from the ocean and the stormy sea. I see colors in the world which bring me joy and hope that through my paintings I can share some of this joy with you.
Jill became President of the San Clemente Art Association in September of 2019.
